Care Details for New Patients
1.
Consultation
Whether by phone or in person, Dr. Sarah likes to touch base with a new patient before scheduling a full new patient exam and adjustment.

This gives each patient the opportunity to discuss their specific goals for care and symptoms they may want help with, and also learn about what options might be the best fit for their care.

Dr. Sarah will take a short patient history and explain the various techniques she is trained in. There is no charge for these consults. Paperwork is available electronically or by paper.
2.
Examination
An initial visit will include both orthopedic and neurological testing, as well as a thorough evaluation of posture and range of motion.

This gives Dr. Sarah the ability to narrow down what areas need the most attention and where her care can be most effective.

Patients are usually in the office for 1.0-1.5 hours during this visit if an adjustment is also included in that timeframe.
3.
Imaging & Findings
Depending on exam findings and techniques used, many patient cases will utilize imaging.

Some patients may have x-rays taken off-site, while others may require 3D imaging, also known as a CBCT (cone beam computed tomography). This allows for the most precise analysis of the spine possible, and therefore the most specific adjustment.

If imaging is taken, Dr. Sarah will also schedule time to review important findings during the following visit.
4.
Adjustments
Dr. Sarah will discuss technique options and which gentle adjustments will suit each patient the best.

Low-force adjusting allows for a faster, yet less forceful, impact to the body. This care is great for anyone, but especially those with heightened pain, overstimulated nervous systems, hypermobility, or hesitation with adjustments.

Neuro-structural care helps retrain how the brain communicates posture to the rest of the body, with an emphasis on stress within the head/neck region.
